Story of the Pre-Embargo Tobacco from the 1940
Back in 2003 Xenia and Jesus went to roll cigars for Demuth’s Tobacco Shop owned by domestic tobacco Co., in Lancaster, PA where Jeffrey Rank the owner had tobacco from Cuba in storage from the 1940s and after about four years working together, he died and his wife sold to Jesus some bales of that tobacco. Jesus purchased a cigar shop in York, PA (where he sold great part of cigars made with that tobacco). Today we have still enough bales left and we hope to bring them to the European market through our business.

I was born in Slovakia in 1982 but I moved to Austria 10 years ago. Most of my time I spend in Dominican republic.
I am cigar aficionado and I have been testing and learning about all kinds of different cigars and tobacco for past 20 years, especially most exclusive cigar with highest quality. In order to find the most perfect and premium cigar I dedicated significant part of my life to traveling. After years of seeking I found Jesus Castañón from Dominican republic with whom we developed the cigar which I consider the best in every aspect.
I am very interested in cigar world, I constantly seek new knowledges in this field. I truly found my life path and aim of my life in cigar world.
I have been active in business and sales my entire life. I have found event agency company but the pandemic Covid-19 has shut my business down for 3 years. I decided to take that as an opportunity and I used this time to establish new premium cigar brand Crescendo Paraiso.
Jesus Castañón
founder of J. Castañón Cigar Studio
Jesus Castañón was born and raised in Cuba where he learned and perfected the art of rolling cigars at the most renound cigar factory in the world – the Cohiba (El Laguito). When Jesus left Cuba in 2002, he took his rolling skills to the United States.
Over the years, the demand for Jesus’ cigars increased greatly and the search started for the perfect environment to increase the production. After spending some of 2012 in the Dominican Republic, he created a cigar studio, not a factory, where cigar rollers are treated as artisans.
